Here's a interview I did a little while back with the former Archbishop of Sydney Peter Jensen on the future of Western Christianity, the problems of public debate, not watering down the word of God and preaching the whole council of God.
Dr Jensen says Western Christianity is in disarray. He says there's a crisis, where there's been a steady decline in church going and biblical literacy and a rise in 'make up religions.'
'We have a very interesting job to do to share the truth of God in Jesus with a world that is not willing to look,' says Dr Jensen.
Dr Jensen warns against attempting to mould the Christian message to make it more palatable to the world, 'The prosperity doctrines come out of an inadequate view of human sin.'
Rather he says, 'The antidote has to be to go back to the Bible, to his word, and to submit ourselves to what God teaches.'
Dr Jensen says we have to so talk about a subject that is presented to us like homosexuality, in a way that exalts Jesus Christ.
Dr Jensen urges people to see how the gospel shapes the answers to the questions that are presented to us.
(It's late getting up online because when I did this interview while I was planning this website it hadn't yet come online).
