Sandy Grant on Sex Trafficking and Gambling

Gambling and sex trafficking. Two major issues that continue to harm people in Australia and around the world.

Senior minister at St Michaels Cathedral in Wollongong, Sandy Grant has been outspoken on these issues for some time.

Sunday, October 18, is Freedom Sunday. This international day of awareness has a massive aim: to stop the trafficking of humans. UNICEF estimates that 1.2 million people are trafficked every year around the world. That’s a mind-boggling figure.

Centuries ago, Christian leaders such as William Wilberforce fought to stop slave trading.

But the selling of people continues, notably for prostitution and other forms of sexual abuse.

Sandy explains Freedom Sunday, as well as the scourge of gambling in our community and why the NSW Government has been dealing poorly with it.
